As a result of the inspections carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to prevent small size hunting of acorns, administrative fines were imposed on 14 people and workplaces who did not comply with the prohibitions. Acting upon complaints that the hunting ban was violated, the Ministry tightened its controls.
Inspections have been increased to prevent acorns, which are seen as 10-15 cm in summer, from being hunted in small sizes during the prohibition period. As a result of these inspections, administrative fines were imposed on 14 people and workplaces who did not comply with the prohibitions, and 173 kilograms of acorns were confiscated.
Legislation Regarding the Ban on Hunting at Sea
According to the legislation, bonito and toric fishing is prohibited by all means of production, including net fish, between April 1 and August 31. However, in the period of 15-31 August, bonito fishing by small-scale fishermen using traditional fishing rods and anchors is allowed.
In free times and methods, the hunting of acorns under 25 centimeters is prohibited.
