Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Youth Center brought young people together with the sky in nature. The youth, who camped in Yusuflar District to observe the Perseid Meteor Shower, followed the feast in the sky throughout the night.
Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality brought together the 'Perseid Meteor Shower', one of the most important celestial events of the year, with the citizens with the events it organized.
Within the scope of the activities, the Metropolitan Youth Center also provided the youth to spend an unforgettable night with the observation of the 'Perseid Meteor Shower' in the Yusuflar neighborhood of Tepebaşı district, which was selected as an observation point.
400 people, including youth center volunteers and many members of non-governmental organizations, followed the feast in the sky with great enthusiasm. Sky enthusiasts spent the night at the observation area.
The young people, who set up their camping tents, chairs and camping equipment in the area, immortalized the meteor shower, which was one of the most important sky events and turned into a magnificent show in the sky, by recording it with their phones and cameras.
Noting that they were very happy with the event, the young people said, “Our Metropolitan Mayor Prof. Dr. Many thanks to Yılmaz Büyükersen. It was a very special event. We had the chance to follow the sky feast.” they said.
Metropolitan Youth Center officials also stated that activities for young people will continue to increase.
