Head of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir talked about the developments in the defense industry in the “Special Under Record” program organized by Haber Global.

President of the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir was the guest of the "Special Under Record" program broadcast on Haber Global on August 10, 2022. Answering the questions of the program host Saynur Tezel about the defense industry, Demir also made statements about AESA radars.

Demir said, “Our AESA radar has matured. We have reached a certain point. This year, we will put our AESA radar on the AKINCI TİHA. After taking the basis of the technology, our AESA-headed missiles, which can see longer ranges, will also be activated.”

MURAD Aircraft/UAV AESA Radar is in the integration and trial phase

Ahmet Akyol, Head of Electronic Warfare and Radar Systems Department of the Presidency of Defense Industries, made a presentation at the 10th Defense Industry Days organized by the Machine Technologies Club at Yıldız Technical University. In the presentation shared by Defense Here, Akyol announced that the MURAD Aircraft/UAV AESA Radar has entered the integration and testing phase.

Speaking within the scope of the Defense Technologies Days'2021 event organized by the Defense Technologies Club of Istanbul Technical University (ITU SAVTEK) in 21 and attended by the Defense Industry Presidency (SSB) and Turkish defense industry companies, Ahmet Akyol said that the domestic AESA nose radar F-16 Viper He stated that it would be better than the APG-83 radar in the United States.

Talking about the current radar projects, Ahmet Akyol mentioned that the AESA-based Weapon Detection Radar entered the inventory and is actively used in the field. In addition, he announced that the CENK-S Search Radar to be used on AESA-based naval platforms and the Multifunctional Fire Control Radar for the SİPER Long Range Area Air and Missile Defense System are counting days to enter the inventory. ASELSAN exhibited the AESA Search Radar at CENK-S IDEF2021 for stow class frigates and similar naval platforms.
