Stranger Things is set in the fictional rural town of Hawkins, Indiana in the early 1980s. When Will's friends and family learn that Will is still haunted by beings from Upside Down, they realize that Upside Down poses an even greater threat to the town and humanity.
The Duffer Brothers confirmed that the series will continue with a third season and announced that its finale will take place in a fourth or fifth season.
