Space Camp Turkey Takes a Virtual Walk on the Moon
Space technologies training center established in Izmir

Participants of Space Camp Turkey, the space technologies training center established in Izmir, started to “walk on the Moon” with VR (virtual reality). With special glasses and the integrated simulator, participants can experience the feeling of walking on the Moon and standing on its surface, just like NASA's Apollo astronauts, while collecting stone and rock samples from the earth's satellite.

Children's Space Camp One of the favorite educational tools in Turkey, the “1/6 Gravity Chair”, which gives the feeling of walking on the Moon, has been updated with VR glasses. The pair of glasses and simulators, which make you feel like you are on the Moon by visually harmonizing with physical movement, began to be used in different programs. The Moon walking simulator, which offers the opportunity to experience what the astronauts working in NASA's Apollo program feel while walking on the Moon, was supported by VR glasses that offer 360-degree views with virtual reality technology. In this way, the images transferred to the world with the famous astronaut Neil Armstrong's words when he set foot on the Moon, which excited all space enthusiasts years ago, are lived as if they were real with VR glasses. Participants can also take stone and rock samples from the Moon's surface with special control tools during their virtual "Moon" journeys.
