Karşıyaka The neighborhood festival, organized by the Municipality of Örnekköy on the last day of the Eid al-Adha, witnessed great enthusiasm.
In the festival, which took place in the Ornekkoy marketplace, especially the residents of the Romani neighborhood experienced great enthusiasm. The dances performed throughout the night marked the festival in which Çılgın Cemal, Bergama Tayfa and Soloist İpek took the stage.
Karşıyaka Mayor Cemil Tugay gave his speech with the children he invited to the stage. Tugay said, “Happy Eid-al-Adha, may your prayers be accepted. We also wanted to celebrate the holiday. Of course, Ornekkoy came to mind as the first address. Being with you and the children and seeing you happy is more valuable than anything else. We have met with you before at such beautiful events. You all have a special place in my heart, I feel you very close to me. The children next to me are the most innocent creatures. You have had difficult days. However, you and me have duties to ensure that our children have better days. We will always be with our children. It is our duty as adults to prepare a good future for them. These entertainments and festivities symbolize our unity and barbership.”
Mayor Cemil Tugay's wife Öznur Tugay, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu and his wife Müyesser Özuslu attended the event. Karşıyaka CHP District Chairman Serdar Koç, Municipal Council Member and Deputy Chairman Ahmet Diker and muhtars attended.
