The Kia Sailing Team, which took its place in the AKPA Chemistry-TAYK 51st Year Naval Forces Cup International Open Sea Yacht Race organized by the Turkish Offshore Racing Club (TAYK), competed in the challenging race that lasted for 4 days.
The Kia Sailing Team took the first place in the IRC 390 class and general classification of the race, which started from Istanbul Çengelköy and ended in Muğla Turgutreis, with a length of approximately 3 nautical miles in which many domestic and foreign boats and athletes participated. With this first place, the Kia Turkey Sailing Team qualified to participate in the J-70 Monaco Winter Series to be held in Monaco in November.
The race, which started with the adventure of “going beyond Sivriada” in 1968, was held for the 51st time this year. The race, which takes place with the participation of dozens of athletes every year, hosts exciting stages in terms of its long track and challenging conditions.
