Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer It hosted children from Mardin who came to Izmir to get to know different cities and cultures. Expressing that he was very happy with the visit of the children, Mayor Soyer advised the children to strive to realize their dreams and to engage in politics to improve life.

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyerhosted 40 children studying at the summer schools of the Mardin Nusaybin Child Development Center. Nusaybin Child Development Center Project Coordinator Şehmus Ak and CHP İzmir Deputy Sevda Erdan Kılıç accompanied the visit of children aged between 7 and 14. President Soyer with the children during the visit sohbet by answering their questions. “What was your dream before you became president?” Soyer answered the question, “My only dream was to be president”. In response to the question "How does it feel to be president", he replied, "It's a great feeling, I do it with love. Because your work gives you the opportunity to change a city and make people smile. Read and work too. And strive to make your dreams come true.”

Soyer's advice to children to "make politics"

It means the art of making life beautiful. If you don't do politics, others fill that void. That's why it's so important for you to play politics. Also, when you are hand in hand, your power grows a lot. Never stop being hand in hand.”

“Let Turkey be like Izmir”

Deputy Sevda Erdan Kılıç said that another child said, “There is war in our region, there is terror. Izmir is very beautiful. Answering the question, “When will our region be like this one?”, he said, “We are striving for it too. We want all of Turkey to be like Izmir. We want everyone to live free, equal and fair. We want the children to be happy. That's why we do politics," he said.

They went to sea for the first time

Nusaybin Child Development Center Project Coordinator Şehmus Ak said, “We visited very beautiful historical and touristic places. These children had never been to the sea before. We brought them together with the sea. They had unforgettable moments," he said. The children thanked President Soyer and Kılıç and gave flowers.
