The foundation of the Ankara-Yerköy-Kayseri High Speed Train Line, which is 142 kilometers in length, will be laid tomorrow with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu.
The Yerköy-Kayseri high-standard railway, which will be built between Yerköy YHT Station in the Yerköy district of Yozgat and Kayseri, will be integrated with the Ankara-Sivas High Speed Railway when completed.
With the activation of the double-track, electrified and signaled line, the Ankara-Kayseri transportation time, which is 7 hours, will be reduced to 2 hours by the existing conventional railway.
In the 2003-2020 period, a total of 134 thousand 2 kilometers of railways were built, with an average of 149 kilometers per year. With the railway mobilization initiated by the Ministry, 9 thousand 194 kilometers of conventional main line, 1213 kilometers of high-speed train line, a total of 12 thousand 803 kilometers, in addition to the existing railway network, 357 kilometers of conventional mainline, 3 thousand 515 kilometers of high-speed train line works continue, On the 6 kilometers line, survey-project studies are carried out.
