Buca Municipality, which started training for the precautions to be taken in Buca, where the risk of fire is also very high because it is one of the districts with the most forest area in İzmir, has launched a "Forest Fire Fighting Course" at Türkan Saylan Contemporary Life Center. The training, which started with the trainees attending the art and hobby courses in the center in the first place and aimed to reach all citizens who demanded it over time, was a first in its field.

While nearly 20 trainees attended the first training session, which was conducted by experts as a total of eight hours of seminars, the participants learned what caused the forest fires. Within the scope of the training, conscious afforestation, fallow practices, controlled fires, and measures that can be taken against uncontrolled fires were discussed one by one. It has been announced that the courses will continue periodically and those who want to attend can apply to Türkan Saylan Contemporary Life Center.
