Bursa Metropolitan Municipality continues its transportation investments. We have a company BURULAŞ in Bursa, which has around 1 million boarding passes per day. One week free passengers will be carried

AK Party Chairman and former Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım wished the tram line between the city center and the Terminal, which will provide new opportunities in transportation and make people's lives easier, be beneficial. Binali Yıldırım, who said that they tried it by testing before the opening, stated that comfortable transportation was brought to Bursa. He stated that 55 kilometers were passed with the new line in the rail system in Bursa. Explaining that 65 kilometers will be reached with the ongoing projects, Binali Yıldırım said, “In the beginning, the new line will serve 30 thousand Bursa residents every day. This number will increase day by day to reach 50 thousand. The number of our compatriots using the rail system in Bursa will have reached 350 thousand. If 350 thousand people only tried to go on the roads with private vehicles and buses, the traffic of the city, which has problems with traffic, would become inextricable. On the one hand, we implemented new rail systems, on the other hand, we revived our railways. In the last 20 years, we have made the lines of 'we have knitted the homeland from four beginnings with iron nets' into reality.”

Stating that Bursa has increased its feature of being a center of attraction in recent years, Yıldırım reminded that Bursa is connected to the east, west, south and north by divided roads and explained that they will continue to build rail systems from now on. Emphasizing that every material, including the tram, used on the T2 line, is domestic and national, Yıldırım said, “Bursa is a city that produces, exports, provides food and jobs to the citizens, pays high taxes to the state, and has hosted history. Therefore, as the Organization of the States of the Turkic World, we declared Bursa as the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World. In the coming months, we will host the World Nomad Games in Iznik. I would like to thank the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Alinur Aktaş, who contributed to Bursa with a cost of more than 1 billion TL, the former mayor Recep Altepe, who was at the beginning of the project, and those who contributed. It's customary by the way. A good news is given at the opening. Bursa residents will travel to this line free of charge for a week. May Allah grant us to travel with health, peace and safety. Good luck,” he said.

Bursa Deputy Efkan Ala reminded that the first, second and third issue they have been focusing on since the election period is transportation. Explaining that they are working to solve the transportation problem in Bursa, Efkan Ala wished that the T2 line, rail systems, highways and the high-speed train under construction would be beneficial for Bursa residents.

Bursa Deputy Hakan Çavuşoğlu thanked Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which was instrumental in the opening of an important investment. Stating that both the central administration and local administrations continue to invest in Bursa, Çavuşoğlu stated that the investment amount Bursa has received in the last 20 years has exceeded 60 billion liras. Çavuşoğlu stated that from now on, they will try to make more important contributions to Bursa in the process.
