The 4STAR event, in which the world chemical giant Dow Chemical Europe evaluates the outstanding contributions of its business partners in the storage, terminal and logistics sectors in the fields of service, security, social responsibility and sustainability, was marked by Alishan Logistics this year. At the event where the business partners who contributed the most to the smooth operation of the supply chain of the Dow brand were evaluated, Alisan Logistics was awarded two gold awards in both the Storage and Transportation categories.
At the ceremony held in Terneuzen, the award was received on behalf of Alişan Logistics, Deputy Chairman of the Board Damla Alişan and Dow Operations and Contracts Manager Seda Sebin. Damla Alişan stated that the aforementioned award is a great pride for their companies, which are accustomed to providing services to international brands at international standards. Adding that he dedicates the award to more than 1500 employees who raise the bar for their service quality every day, Alisan added that Dow's prominent works and projects in the fields of service, security, social responsibility and sustainability will continue and they will continue their investments in these topics this year.
Drawing attention with her presentation on "Sustainability and Inclusion in the Workplace" at the event, Damla Alishan emphasized the ratio of female employees in the company by giving examples from the business units of storage, management and transportation, and stated that the gains will increase if women take a more active role in business life. Alisan said, “We took on a flag from my father, together with my sister. From the point where we started 27 years ago with the difficulties and prejudices of existing in a male-dominated industry, we have jointly provided gender equality, diversity and inclusion in our company. We believed that companies with these strategies had efficiency. We will also continue to provide that,” she said.
