The construction of the Semi-Olympic Indoor Swimming Pool, designed by Bornova Municipality in Çamdibi, has come to an end. The first registrations for the pool, which will be opened at the end of July after the landscaping works, will start to be taken after the holiday. The Mayor of Bornova, who supervised the works on site, Dr. Mustafa İduğ said, “We are counting the days for the opening. The construction is finished, the fitness center is completely ready. Right after the holiday, both swimming course and fitness center registrations will start, and we will open our pool in July.”

Çamdibi Swimming Pool, where the days for its opening started to be counted, was built as a total of three floors, the basement, the ground floor and the 1st floor. The facility, which has 2.300 square meters of indoor and 1.800 square meters of open space, includes a swimming pool, fitness center, changing rooms, showers, administrative offices and cafeteria.

“Hopefully we will get the champions out of here”

Reminding that they implemented the pool project in line with the demands of Çamdibilis, Mayor İduğ said, “It will serve all of Bornova, especially children and youth. It will provide a very good sports opportunity especially for Bornova residents living in the Çamdibi region. In addition, with this facility, while our children learn to swim, we want to reveal the talented ones and move them to higher levels. Hopefully, we will bring out champion athletes from here," he said.
