Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar spoke at the "Kayseri Mass Opening Ceremony and Ankara-Yerköy-Kayseri High Speed Train Line Groundbreaking Ceremony" held in Kayseri Cumhuriyet Square with the presence of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Minister Akar; He emphasized that in a critical period when the political, military and economic balances are being rebuilt, Turkey has become a subject in international relations under the leadership of our President, Mr. Erdogan, and has exerted influence as a global actor as well as reinforcing its regional power.

Explaining that Turkey, which always acts proactively in the face of developments, has managed to become a country that provides stability and gives confidence in its region and in various geographies of the world, Minister Akar continued as follows:

“The Ministry of National Defense and the Turkish Armed Forces, whose duties and responsibilities have increased in this process, in which our country has undertaken such an important mission, carry out the most intense and most effective activities in the history of the Republic with new approaches and strategies for regional and global security. In this context, Mehmetçik ensures the security of our borders with the understanding of "the border is honor", fights against all terrorist organizations, especially FETO, PKK, YPG, PYD and DEAŞ, with an increasing violence and offensive understanding at home and beyond, and defends our rights and interests in our seas and in the skies, including Cyprus. It also protects it with perseverance and determination.”

REACTION TO THE SUSPENSION OF THE ACTIVITIES OF TURKISH SCHOOLS IN GREECE

Emphasizing that the provocative actions of Greek politicians continue despite all well-intentioned approaches, Minister Akar said:

“The most recent example of this is the decision to suspend the activities of Turkish schools in Greece. We strongly condemn this. As Turkey, we have not left any unjust and unlawful attempts of Greece unanswered on the field and at the table. We will not let go anymore.

In addition to these, the Turkish Armed Forces supports the just cause of our friends and fraternal allies in Libya, especially our Azerbaijani brothers, and continuously contributes to peace in the region and the world. Similarly, our sincere efforts to end the war between Russia and Ukraine and to solve the grain crisis are appreciated by the whole world. In this context, the grain shipment agreement signed yesterday in Istanbul in the presence of our President and the Secretary-General of the United Nations has most clearly demonstrated the effectiveness of our country in the diplomatic field. As of today, our joint coordination center, which will manage all these activities in Istanbul with the participation of Ukraine, Russia and the United Nations representatives, has started to work. Unfortunately there was an explosion in Odessa this morning. We are in contact with both sides and we follow the developments closely. As Turkey, we have fulfilled all our duties to solve the whole problem, and we will continue to do so in the future. I offer my respects to our noble nation, whose support, love, trust and prayers have not been spared in our ability to successfully fulfill all the tasks we have undertaken.”
