Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, noted that approximately 20 billion liras have been spent on transportation and communication investments in Nevşehir in the last 3 years, and announced that the Nevşehir-Ürgüp Road and Ürgüp Junction Road Project, which are among the projects, is aimed to be completed in 2023. Karaismailoğlu said, “The projects we do are our answer to the visionless. Our nation is aware of those who do not work with those who work, those who are with their nation and those who are not.”

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made inspections at the Nevşehir-Ürgüp Road Construction Site and received information about the project. Making a statement later, Karaismailoğlu said, “With our investments in 20 years, we have not only provided the infrastructure needed to increase commercial and logistics activities; We have implemented the 'safe transportation, comfortable travel' approach, which we meticulously apply for our tourism regions, in our region as well. We contributed to the development of tourism activities and thus to the increase of the welfare of our region. Cappadocia, which is a commercial and cultural bridge between the east and west of our country, is on an important line stretching from Central Asia to Mesopotamia. Balloons flying the sky; we connected our Cappadocia, which is decorated with unique fairy chimneys and historical-touristic places, to the national highway line. We provide 2020 kilometers of uninterrupted transportation from Edirne to Şanlıurfa with the Ankara-Niğde Highway, which we added to our highway network by opening it in December 1230 with the presence of our President.

Karaismailoğlu stated that the current road distance of 317 kilometers has decreased to 275 kilometers with the Ankara-Niğde Highway, and said that the transportation time between the two points has been reduced from 4 hours 14 minutes to 2 hours 22 minutes. "With our project, we save an average of 1 billion 628 million liras annually from time and fuel," said Minister of Transport, Karaismailoğlu, and continued his speech as follows;

“In the period of our governments, our country; We have transformed it into an international corridor in every mode of transportation between Asia, Europe, North Africa, Middle East, Caucasus and Northern Black Sea countries. We increased our divided road length from 6 thousand kilometers to 28 thousand 664 kilometers. We increased our highway network from 1714 kilometers to 3 thousand 633 kilometers. We crossed the impassable mountains with tunnels reaching 661 kilometers. We crossed deep valleys with 729 kilometers of bridges and viaducts. "We have increased our total road network to 68 kilometers," he said.

IN 20 YEARS, WE HAVE SPENDED CLOSE TO 3 BILLION LIRA ON NEVŞEHİR

Pointing out that Nevşehir, of course, received the share it deserves from the transportation moves across the country, Karaismailoğlu said, “We have spent nearly 20 billion liras in the last 3 years for the transportation and communication investments of this beautiful city. We took Nevşehir's divided highway length from 87 kilometers and increased it 3,5 times to 307 kilometers. We increased the divided road rate in Nevşehir's general road network to 58 percent, above Turkey's average. During the period of our governments, we completed the construction and improvement of a single road of 161 kilometers in Nevşehir. We have completed and put into service 945 bridges with a total length of 24 meters. The total project cost of the ongoing 5 different highway investments in Nevşehir exceeds 1 billion 195 million liras. Of course, we are not satisfied with these investments, we shed our head and mind for our new projects. Our ongoing highway projects in Nevşehir; Kayseri-Kırşehir State Highway, Nevşehir City Crossing Roads, Nevşehir-Ürgüp Road and Ürgüp Junction Road, Nevşehir-Aksaray State Highway, Kozaklı City Crossing and Kozaklı Yenifakılı Provincial Road works.

IN OUR HEAVY WORK PACE, WE DON'T ENTER INTO VITAL CONFESSIONS TOGETHER

Stating that Nevşehir-Ürgüp Road and Ürgüp Junction Road are 52 kilometers long, 40 kilometers are located within the borders of Nevşehir province and 12 kilometers are located within the provincial borders of Kayseri, Karaismailoğlu said, “In addition, the remaining part of our road in Nevşehir is 14,2 kilometers from Nevşehir-Ürgüp. road and 26 kilometers consist of Ürgüp-Boğazköprü-Niğde junction. So far, we have completed 9,5 kilometers of our road as a divided road. We aimed to complete our road project in 2023. With the opening of our road, we will provide a faster, safer and more comfortable transportation service to Cappadocia, one of the important tourism centers of our country. We continue our country's transportation and communication investments without slowing down. As Hacı Bektaş Veli said, 'We see the greatest miracle as working'. In the words of our President, we work on the principle of 'do not stop, keep going', 7 days and 24 hours. In our busy work tempo, we do not engage in vicious daily conflicts. We hold the principle of 'Let's be one, let's be big, let's be alive'," he said.
