Hüyük Red Gold Traditional Handicrafts and Youth Festival Has Started

Hüyük Red Gold Traditional Handicrafts and Youth Festival, which is the most comprehensive festival in Anatolia, started with the participation of Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu. 24 artists will participate in the festival, which will last until Sunday, July 165. Within the scope of the festival, events in different categories such as concerts, interviews, competitions, theater performances, exhibitions, short film screenings will be organized.

Hüyük Red Gold Traditional Handicrafts and Youth Festival, which is the most comprehensive festival of Anatolia in the Hüyük district of Konya, started under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, hosted by Hüyük Municipality. The opening ceremony of the festival, which will last until Sunday, July 24, was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Ahmet Misbah Demircan, AK Party Konya Deputy Orhan Erdem, MHP Konya Deputy Esin Kara, Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim. Altay, AK Party Konya Provincial President Hasan Angı, Hüyük Mayor Mehmet Çiğdem, representatives of political parties, representatives of non-governmental organizations, representatives of public institutions and organizations and many citizens attended. A total of 165 artists will participate in the festival, which will host events in different categories such as concerts, talks, competitions, theater performances, exhibitions, and short film screenings. Famous artists of Yeşilçam will also meet with their fans within the scope of the festival.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu said, “We are reaping the fruits of the investments we have made under the leadership of our President in the last 20 years. We will raise many stars, many champions, heroes who will make the stars flutter this month, from Hüyük, the districts of Konya, and Konya. We will raise stars who will make the whole world listen to our National Anthem. If we have lined up all these facilities like pearls all over Turkey, from the east to the west, from the north to the south, and to the farthest points, we will continue to serve our nation with synergy, believing and running with the same enthusiasm.”

Hüyük Mayor Mehmet Çiğdem said, “I would like to thank our Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Environment and Urbanization for their support to our festival. I would also like to thank the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, who honored the opening of our festival. We are hosting the biggest festival of Anatolia with the participation of 165 artists. I invite our citizens from the surrounding provinces and districts to our festival," he said.
