IMM will be with the young people who want to make the right decision in their Higher Education Institutions Exam preferences (YKS). As of 20 July, preference platforms and mobile mobile vehicles will be provided free of charge in 22 squares of Istanbul. For those who cannot come to the squares, the Alo 153 line will also be a guide for young people who want to make a choice.
With the announcement of the YKS results of the university candidates on June 18-19, the excitement of preference began. Hundreds of thousands of young people will choose for university education, which is the first step of the professions in which they will build their future. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) will provide free consultancy services to young people in the squares of Istanbul as of July 20, with its Preference Counseling and Guidance Centers on university selection.
SUPPORT FOR YOUTH ON 22 SQUARE
The Preference Counseling and Guidance Centers, which will be served by the IMM Youth and Sports Directorate, will contribute to the young people entering the YKS to make their choices in the most correct way. In the centers established in 22 squares of Istanbul, young people will be supported to make their choices correctly according to criteria such as their scores, success rankings and quota of universities.
STAFF OF GUIDES AND EXPERTS OF 125 PEOPLE
A team of 60 people, including 65 guides and 125 experts, will work in IMM Preference Counseling and Guidance Centers this term. The responsible staff will counsel young people between 10.00:19.00 and XNUMX:XNUMX every day. In addition to the fixed service points, a mobile Preference Counseling and Guidance Center will support the youth by going to the areas where they are needed.
Those who cannot come to the squares in Istanbul will be able to get support by calling IMM's Solution Center, and they will be able to reach IMM Preference Counseling and Guidance Centers from anywhere in Turkey by calling 0212 153 00 00. Those who do not reach the squares due to disability, illness or any reason will also be able to get support by calling Alo 153. If necessary, IMM teams will be able to come to their homes and request face-to-face support. In addition, all candidates will be able to create their lists using the preference system at the address prefer.ibb.istanbul and then make their preferences through the system of ÖSYM.
