Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer7 portable pools, which were established in line with the goal of bringing children in the back neighborhoods together with sports, made the children and their families happy. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu, who visited the pool in Beydağ, emphasized the importance of equal opportunity and said, “It is very important to provide the same opportunity for the child in Beydağ as the child in the city center has the opportunity to swim.”

Children between the ages of 6 and 13 are given swimming lessons in the pools of Pazaryeri and Kadifekale in Konak, Meriç in Bornova, Yakakent in Çiğli, Leylak in Beydağ, İsmet İnönü in Menemen and Yeni in Kiraz.

“Another Life Is Possible”

Visiting the pool opened in Beydağ, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu met with the children and their families. Özuslu said, “When we see this painting, we understand how true this project is, and how human-touching it is. It is very important to provide the same opportunity for the child in Beydağ as the child in the city center has for swimming. “They see a pool for the first time in their lives”

Beydağ Mayor Feridun Yılmazlar said, “Our President Tunç Soyer's support in the back rows and in the countryside is too much. We are very pleased. Children from Beydağ see a pool for the first time in their lives. Currently, 480 of our children are registered to the pool. There is training two days a week. Two teachers and three staff members are working. Thank you very much to our president," he said.
