Emirates landed in Tel Aviv on June 23, making its first ever flight to Israel aboard the latest “out-of-the-box” Boeing 777 aircraft.

Referring to the importance of this new destination, the first flight was carried out with a delegation of senior figures: His Excellency Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy; His Highness Mohamed Al Khaja, UAE Ambassador to Israel; His Highness Amir Hayek, Israel's Ambassador to the UAE; Waleed Al Naqbi, Senior Director of Coordination and Follow-up, UAE Ministry of Economy; Richard Mintz, US Advisor to the UAE Ambassador; Ahmad AlMarri, Head of GCC (Gulf Countries) and Mena International Operations, Dubai Economy and Tourism Region; Abdulhamied Seddiqi, Vice President of Seddiqi Holding, and Ross Kriel, Director of Kosher Arabia.

Emirates flight EK931 was greeted at Ben Gurion Airport with a water jewel, while passengers, aviation enthusiasts and guests from the industry watched the landing of the airline's first flight. The aircraft features the world's first fully enclosed First Class suites with virtual windows and private services, offering private space and premium luxury. Emirates' flight schedules to and from Tel Aviv are programmed to provide easy access to Dubai and connections to popular destinations such as Australia, Philippines, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

The airline has also completed its preparations to transport manufacturing raw materials and components, semiconductors and e-commerce parcels to Israel.

According to the Dubai Ministry of Economy and Tourism, more than 300.000 Israelis have visited the UAE in the past two years despite the pandemic restrictions, and this number is expected to increase as travel restrictions are further reduced.

Emirates will operate flights EK931 and EK932 to Tel Aviv. Daily flights will depart at 15:50 and land at Ben Gurion Airport at 18:00 local time. The return flight will depart Tel Aviv at 19:55 and arrive in Dubai at 23:59 (local time).
