Cooperation Agreement Signed Between Turkish Airlines and Vietnam Airlines

Turkish Airlines and Vietnam Airlines signed a "Memorandum of Understanding" to strengthen bilateral relations at the Farnborough Air Show, which started on July 18 in England.

Turkish Airlines and Vietnam Airlines, the airlines flying to the most countries in the world, signed a "Memorandum of Understanding" to strengthen bilateral relations at the Farnborough Air Show, which started on July 18 in England. The cooperation between the two national flag carriers will not only create appropriate links between countries, but will also accelerate economic, cultural and social relations between Vietnam, Turkey, Europe and the Middle East regions.

According to the signed declaration; Turkish Airlines and Vietnam Airlines will expand their existing cooperation in passenger and cargo transportation by working on a codeshare partnership on flights between Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City and Istanbul. This way, guests will have the option to discover new destinations on both airlines' networks. In addition, the codeshare partnership, which is expected to come into effect in 2023, is expected to pave the way for more cooperation opportunities in the field of cargo transportation.

Commenting on the statement, Turkish Airlines Deputy General Manager (Investment & Technology) Levent Konukçu; “While we were recovering from the effects of the crisis that the pandemic brought to the aviation industry, we became aware of the importance of cooperation between airlines. We attach great importance to our expanding cooperation with Vietnam Airlines in both cargo and passenger areas. Our common goal and expectation is to enrich relations in many areas and to offer more alternatives to our guests. With this in mind, Turkish Airlines signed a "Memorandum of Understanding" that will serve to deepen the relations between the two countries.
