China State Railways Group Ltd. According to Sti., a total of 2022 kilometers of new railways were put into service in the first half of 2.043,5 across China.

According to the company's data, the said figure also includes the new high-speed railway of approximately 995,9 kilometers. The company announced that 1.462,2 kilometers of railroads were put into service in June alone, accounting for more than 70 percent of the total railways put into service in the first six months of the year.

According to the Chinese Ministry of Transport, China plans to open a total of 3.300 kilometers of new railway lines this year. By the end of last year, the operating length of the high-speed rail network in China had exceeded 40.000 kilometers.
