A wreath-laying ceremony was held in İzmir, organized by the Port Authority, within the scope of the 96 July Maritime and Cabotage Day events, held on the occasion of the 1th anniversary of the adoption of the Cabotage Law.
The tour with the historical Bergama Ferry, which was restored by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Tunç Soyerİzmir Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger, Coast Guard Aegean Sea Region Commander Rear Admiral Serkan Tezel, İzmir Police Chief Mehmet Şahne, İZDENİZ Chairman of the Board Osman Hakan Erşen, İZDENİZ General Manager Ümit Yılmaz, Chamber of Shipping İzmir Branch Chairman Yusuf Öztürk and İzmir Port Manager Ünal Hakan Atalan, heads and representatives of various non-governmental organizations attended.
In memory of the martyrs of the sea, a wreath was laid in the Gulf from the Bergama Ferry, which went from Passport Pier to Alsancak Port. Passenger ferries belonging to İZDENİZ and boats of the coastal police and maritime police accompanied by sounding sirens.
