Turkey's Ambassador to Dhaka Mustafa Osman Turan answered the questions of Bangladesh-based prothomalo. In this context, Turan stated that Baykar recently signed an agreement with the Bangladesh Armed Forces to supply Bayraktar TB2 SİHA to Bangladesh. No explanation was given about the number of deliveries and when they will start.
Noting that Turkish companies also participated in the tenders for the supply of marine equipment organized by Bangladesh, Turan reminded that Bangladesh Ammunition Factory signed an agreement with a Turkish company for the joint production of cannon ammunition. Noting that cooperation can be made in different fields, the Ambassador stated that the work continues.
Allegation of Ada class corvette offer from STM to Bangladesh
As reported by Bangladesh-based Defseca, Turkey offered 8 Ada class corvettes to Bangladesh. The offer made by STM includes technology transfer. In addition, it is reported that most of the corvettes will be built in Bangladesh.
It is stated that Bangladesh wants a 32-cell Vertical Launching System and for this reason the ship can be extended. It is among the claims that Bangladesh wants to use the sensor hardware on the ship from the West (British, French, Italian).
