Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said, “Within the scope of the High School Transition System (LGS), we can see the results of central and local placements.meb.gov.tr' with 'result.meb.gov.tr', we opened it to access via internet addresses. Good luck to our students.” made the statement.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer announced that the results of the central and local placements within the scope of LGS were announced.

Reminding that LGS preferences were made between July 4 and July 20, Özer said, “We have made available the results of central and local placements made within the scope of the High School Entry System (LGS) at 'meb.gov.tr' and 'sonuc.meb.gov.tr'. Good luck to our students. Our students will be able to access the placement results with their TR ID numbers and birth dates.” gave the information.

Making evaluations about LGS placements, Minister Özer said:

“This year, 8 million 1 thousand 236 of the 308 million 1 thousand 31 students who graduated from the 799th grade participated in the Central Examination and 1 million 8 thousand 139 students chose for the first placement. 951 thousand 703 of these students, that is about 95 percent, were placed in one of the schools they preferred. Considering that 2021 percent of the students who made a choice in the first placement period in 93 were placed in secondary education institutions, this seems to be a significant improvement. This process is a positive development in terms of placing more students in secondary education institutions in the first step and increasing satisfaction with the placement process.”

The occupancy rate in schools with exams is 99 percent.

Pointing out that there has been a significant increase in the quotas of secondary education institutions that admit students through the exam this year compared to 2021, Minister Özer said, “Concurrently with this increase, the occupancy rates of these institutions have increased significantly. Occupancy rates, which were 2021 percent in 95, reached 98,4 percent. All the quotas of science and social sciences high schools have been filled, while the occupancy rates of high schools that admit students through other exams have increased to 95 percent and above. The occupancy rates of especially vocational and technical Anatolian high schools were 2021 percent in 77, reaching 95 percent this year. This is an indication that the transformation in vocational secondary education is also reflected in student preferences.” used the phrases.

94 percent of the students who were placed without an exam were placed in one of their first three choices.

Underlining that approximately 85 percent of students are placed locally in secondary education institutions during the transition to high school, this makes this type of placement very important, and made the following statements:

“In local placement, 2019 percent of students were placed in one of the top three schools of their choice in 91, while this rate increased to 2020 percent in 92. In 2021, it remained stable at 92 percent. In 2022, the rate of placement in the top three preferences of students in local placement reached 94 percent, the highest level in the last 4 years. Therefore, this result clearly shows that with the improvements made in LGS every year, the rate of students' placement in their primary preferences has increased.”

The rate of placement in the first choice increased to 55 percent

Noting that a similar improvement is seen in the rates of placement in their first choice, Özer said, “While the rate of placement in the first preference ranged between 2019-2021 percent in 49 and 52, this rate increased to 55 percent this year. In other words, in local placement without examination, more than half of the students were able to be placed in their top priority preferences. This is another indication of the extent to which local placement has been improved.” he said.

Increased satisfaction with placement

Noting that the students who were placed in Anatolian high school, Anatolian imam hatip high school and vocational and technical Anatolian high school in local placement without examination, their satisfaction increased when they were placed in the schools of their higher preferences, Özer made the following assessments:

“53 percent of the students who were placed in Anatolian high schools last year were placed in an Anatolian high school in their first choice, and 98 percent in an Anatolian high school in their first three choices. This year, the rate of students placed in Anatolian high schools in their first choice increased to 57 percent, and the rate of placement in an Anatolian high school in their first three preferences reached 99 percent.

In 2021, 55 percent of the students who were placed in Anatolian imam hatip high schools without an exam were placed in an Anatolian imam hatip high school in their first choice, and 88 percent in an Anatolian imam hatip high school in their first three preferences. This year, 57 percent of the students who were placed in Anatolian Imam Hatip High Schools without an exam, placed in their first choice, and 88 percent placed in an Anatolian Imam Hatip High School in their first three preferences. The biggest improvement this year was in vocational and technical secondary education. The rate of students who were placed in the vocational and technical secondary education institution of their first choice increased from 2021 percent in 46 to 52 percent this year. At the same time, the rate of students placed in the vocational and technical secondary education institution of their first three preferences increased from 2021 percent in 82 to 2022 percent in 88.

Transfer applications started

Minister Özer stated that the placement process will continue for students who could not be placed in the first placement or who want to change their school, and continued as follows:
