Diyarbakir Metropolitan Municipality completed 60 percent of the restoration work it started in the Şehzadeler Mansion.

With the project prepared by the Department of Reconstruction and Urbanization, work continues in the mansion, which will be restored and named after the famous poet Sezai Karakoç, who passed away recently, who is considered one of the "7 Beautiful Men" of Turkish Literature.

The team that built a scaffolding in the mansion works devotedly so that the restoration works can be carried out in accordance with the original.

In the excavation, where traces of wet places belonging to the mansion and water heating stoves for the bathroom were found, cleaning works are carried out on the toilet and furnace structure, which preserves its original state among the ones found.

Water well and pipes were found

Within the scope of the landscaping works carried out in the Şehzadeler Mansion under the supervision of the museum and under the supervision of archaeologists, water pipes, water wells at 3 different points and wall traces thought to belong to the building were unearthed.

The ruins, which are considered to belong to the 16th century, will be exhibited after the necessary studies.
