Music-Themed Short Film Project Competition, which is part of the 2nd İzmir International Film and Music Festival, organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality in cooperation with the Intercultural Art Association, has been concluded. Hilmi Etikan, Işıl Özgentürk, Prof. Dr. The Selection Committee, consisting of Lale Kabadayı, Nihat Durak, Tahsin İşbilen, Cumhur Bakkan and Vecdi Sayar, evaluated 67 projects and determined 10 among them. Winning project owners are participating from the provinces of Izmir, Istanbul, Ankara, Diyarbakir, Sakarya and Konya. The selected projects and their directors in the project competition are as follows:

The winners of the competition will attend the Project Development Workshop to be held in İzmir Sanat between 11-15 June. Workshop participants will be given 5.000 TL each. The project owners will shoot their films after the workshop to be held under the supervision of the selection committee members of the competition. A second 5.000 TL will be given to the directors of the films when the films are completed and screened at next year's festival.
Erden Kıral will be the President of the National Competition Jury
In the festival where Erden Kıral will be the Chairman of the National Competition Film Jury; Biket İlhan, Ebru Şeremetli, Güldiyar Tanrıdağlı, İzzet Öz, Selen Uçer and Selva Erdener will take place. The 'Crystal Flamingo' awards will be determined in the categories of Best Film / Special Jury Award / Best Actress / Best Actor / Best Original Score / Best Song / Best Sound Design. The Grand Prize of the Festival will be shared between the producer and the director with 100.000 TL. Prize winners in other branches will be awarded 10.000 TL each.
Tough Competition Between 10 Films
In the film category of the National Competition, where 10 films will compete; Uluç Bayraktar's 9.75, Emre Erdoğdu's Those Who Love Me List, Ziya Demirel's Ela and Hilmi and Ali, Erdem Tepegöz's In the Shadows, Tayfun Pirselimoğlu's Kerr, Ferit Karol's Piggy Bank Çağıl Bocut's Sardinia, Tufan Taştan ' You I am Lenin, Mehmet Ali Konar's Zin and Ali's Story, and Nazlı Elif Durlu's Zuhal film will compete.

Vecdi Sayar: A full festival awaits us
Vecdi Sayar, who is the director of the festival; “We will appear in front of moviegoers with a full-fledged content. We will be showing over 100 movies from many countries. We will include very valuable productions that deal with cinema and music themes together. We will hold film screenings in many parts of İzmir and present the festival to the art lovers of İzmir. I believe that all films will be screened in full theaters. We are waiting for all Izmir residents to the festival," he said.
