Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer addressed the participants with a live link from Samsun. Stating that he attaches great importance to the participation of young people in the MEB Robot Contest, Özer said, “Here, our children and youth will be able to share their productions and cultures about robots and other designs with their peers from different countries. When they leave here, they will return to their hometowns with different information in a way that will reshape their current production.” said.

The Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer, who could not be in Şanlıurfa at the opening of the international robot competition due to his busy schedules, attended the program with a live connection from Samsun.
Stating that the international robot competition was held in Şanlıurfa, the city of prophets, with the theme of 'Göbeklitepe', which smells of history, and the slogan 'Ahican is at the Zero Point of History', Minister Özer said that countries that are progressing in science and technology are seen as strong countries, and that nations who are aware of this power and want to have it, also tell scientists. and attached great importance to scientific research.
Minister Özer stated that the international robot competition was held in order to reinforce the interests and curiosity of young people in the field of science and technology, to encourage them to research and to support them to produce new information, and said, “We have held the Robot Competition, which we could not hold for 19 years due to the Covid 2 epidemic, today in Şanlıurfa with a wide participation. way we organize. We are very happy to host nearly 100 teachers and students in Şanlıurfa, not only from Turkey, but also from different countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Tunisia, Qatar, Pakistan, Afghanistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.” said.
Özer stated that as the Ministry, they are making efforts to train young people who will support domestic and national production, who follow the current scientific and technological developments. In line with this, Özer said that science and art centers were expanded in all provinces of Turkey and their number was increased to 355.
“Our aim is to introduce all of our young people, all of our children and pups to their scientific developments, and to support them constantly with innovative approaches. As the Ministry of National Education, we have been taking huge steps on intellectual property and industrial rights, especially recently. And we are very happy to get the results of these. While the Ministry of National Education has registered about three products in the last 10 years in the context of intellectual property, it received 2022 patents, utility models, trademarks and designs in the first 5 months of 7. These are very meaningful in the sense that they show how soon we can get results when this culture becomes widespread in education levels.
