Many of the most successful brands around the globe began in college dorms. There are always new ideas coming out of different schools, no matter what grade. Some students are still in high school while others are in college working on new projects. These are just a few of the innovations students have created over the past decade.

Baby Saver 2000

Traumatizing is the death in hot cars of children. In America, there are more than 37 cases of this nature each year. This is especially true in the south where it can be unbearable, especially during summer. Even if the outside temperature is 80 degrees, it is possible to increase the temperature inside the car by up to an hour. Children will die in such an environment.

What if vehicle owners could be notified of rising temperatures? Is there a way for people to be notified if something is wrong and get prompt intervention? What if doors or windows could be opened when temperatures rise? These were the thoughts that Mason Covington and Tyler Duke had.

Both Tyler and Mason were students at Beebe Junior High School in Arkansas. The Baby Saver 2000 was created by them in 2017. Attached to the car seat, the detector detects temperature changes. The monitor tracks temperature changes and alerts the vehicle owner if they become unbearable. The monitor can also measure temperature to send a clear signal. The monitor triggers the car alarm to notify others and then opens the windows. It is amazing to see how high school students can solve problems in a world that are dominated by adults.

Animal Detector

4 billion was spent to repair and compensate motor vehicle owners who were hurt by animals. Wildfires and predators are avoided by the animals. Many companies have developed animal detection systems, but they don't work on roads.

The detector can be found right next to the highway. The detector can detect animals approaching more than 100 feet away. The fence will flash to alert motorists. You can slow down, or be cautious enough to avoid a collision.

The animal detector is powered by solar power. The animal detector saves energy and reduces losses due to road accidents. This simple invention saves lives and protects property from destruction. The project was developed by Kaika Burk from Snow Flake Junior High in Arizona and Anna Burger. Kaybree Raisor was also involved in the project.

Shower vending machine

Two students from Mississippi's Golfport High School discussed future projects. The comfort and well-being of the homeless are a popular theme at these events. The National Technical Honor Society's brainstorming. The team found a variety of resources that could be used for homeless people. These resources included shelters, weather shelters, and soup kitchens.

According to the team, the shower could only be used once per week. The shower time was now restricted from 8.30 am to 11.30 AM. Students would have to miss school to shower. This only makes things worse.

Jendayi London and Patrick Kamacho created a personal hygiene product called a shower vending machine. You can use it to dispense personal hygiene products like soap and tissue. It also provides secure shower stalls for the homeless. It can be powered by solar energy and moved around.

Drones in Agriculture

Already, drones are being used for photography and warfare. They have limited potential to transform agriculture, but they can be used in limited ways. Both Elexus Johnson and Eric Crane, both of Gering High School, Nebraska, made the decision to increase agriculture's productivity by using more drones.

Current machine applications in agriculture were plagued by the pesticides that were applied too often. Most of the pesticides, fertilizers, and chemicals in the soil and air contaminated the soil and air. They believed that a drone could provide better results. In 2016, they developed technology that enabled drones to identify each plant's pesticide and water needs. This specific application decreases irrigation and blanket spraying wastage.

The Lean Mean Graphene Machine

The idea was created by two students from the University of Illinois. The University of Illinois students invented a coating that protects plastic pipes from greenhouse gas emissions. This invention will reduce the carbon footprint of power plants.

The invention was hugely popular because there isn't much attention on green energy. Since the US's final power plant was constructed in 1970, the attention has declined on the invention. It was awarded the Shell Ideas360 competition which validated its concept.

For decades, students have been pioneers in the development of innovative solutions across industries. Their solutions are exceptional because they are focused on issues many people don’t pay attention to. The best thing about this is that they are still in junior high school and have plenty of freedom to develop more innovative products.
