Within the scope of the Entrepreneurship in Art Project, one of the projects of the Izmir Women Entrepreneurs Board, coordinated by the Izmir Commodity Exchange (ITB), “Mural Work with Women Artists” was carried out under the sponsorship of Azra Galvaniz.

Under the coordination of Mural Artist Gülderen Depas, 10 women artists and TOBB İzmir Women Entrepreneurs Executive Board Member Işıl Nişli opened the Mural Project, which continues under the coordination of İzmir Women Entrepreneurs Board Executive Committee Members, İzmir Commodity Exchange Deputy Secretary General and İzmir Women Entrepreneurs Board Executive Board Natural Member Pınar Nacak was organized with the participation of the artists who supported the work and Recep Özekinci, the owner of the facility where the work was applied.

Speaking at the opening, the project coordinator and İzmir Women Entrepreneurs Executive Board Member Işıl Nişli underlined the importance of bringing art together with the business world and underlined that the proliferation of such studies is extremely beneficial for the art and business world. Nişli emphasized that they will continue to work to bring women artists together on a common platform and to enable them to produce projects.

Nişli said, “With the Entrepreneurship in Art Project, women artists who are active in all branches of art, who are from Izmir or who have passed through Izmir, will gather together, promote their works to wider audiences, create a platform that creates an entrepreneurial model in art with innovative applications in the field of creativity, exhibition and marketing, and we aim to participate in international studies. Inspired by Diego Rivera's 1932 murals for Ford factories, the study depicts the industrial working class as a colorful social force rather than a gray, pale mass. The study was implemented in the light of Recep Özekinci's philosophy of “Let's Deduce and Come Together”. In addition, depictions highlighting the unity of human-nature and industry, which are compatible with Azra Galvaniz's view of a clean environment and a healthy world, were used. In today's world where energy resources are gradually decreasing, it has been exhibited that with the production of renewable energy resources that do not spread carbon emissions in the atmosphere, it has started to give back to people and nature what we have taken from nature and that life has regained its ecological balance.
