EUAS International ICC Delegation Visited Akkuyu NPP Site

Company representatives, consisting of the managers and employees of EUAS International ICC, visited the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NGS) construction site. The delegation, headed by EUAS International ICC General Manager Necati Yamaç, visited the construction site where the four units are located, as well as the large-scale equipment warehouse and the eastern sea cargo terminal, in order to observe the latest status of the construction works in the power units under construction.

EUAS International ICC representatives showed great interest in the construction organization processes, cooperation processes between the contractor companies involved in the project, nuclear safety culture and practices related to inspection, and the developments in the project. Akkuyu NPP Project, which is Turkey's first nuclear power plant construction, was carried out by AKKUYU NÜKLEER A.Ş. implemented by. Thanks to this project, AKKUYU NÜKLEER A.Ş. gained a great deal of experience in project management, licensing, creating supplier chains and other areas of NPP construction.

AKKUYU NUCLEAR INC. First Deputy General Manager and Construction Director Sergey Butckikh made the following statement on the subject: “We see that the interest in our project has increased from Turkish and foreign companies. The visit of the delegation of EUAS International ICC executives and experts was a good opportunity to share experiences with Turkish colleagues who will later participate in the implementation of new nuclear projects in Turkey. We gave the guests detailed information about the current stage of the construction of the NPP, the structure of the project participants, the localization of production for the needs of the NPP, and the inspection activities. We also focused on adapting the project to site conditions, safety culture and communication. We are happy to have dialogue with our colleagues from EUAS International ICC and we will be glad to see them back on the field.”
