ESHOT Received the 'Greenest Office' Award

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate came to the fore with the Electronic Document Management System it has been implementing for five years. ESHOT, which is at the top of the research in which the enVision company, which serves more than 300 thousand users in different sectors, measures the paper savings, was given the “Greenest Office” award on June 5, World Environment Day.

ESHOT General Directorate was deemed worthy of an award with the Electronic Document Management System (EBYS) that it has been implementing for four years. ESHOT ranked high in the study, in which enVision company, which serves more than 300 thousand users in different sectors, measures paper savings.
ESHOT, which was determined to save enough paper to prevent a total of 907 trees from being cut, was presented with the “Greenest Office” award on June 5, World Environment Day. In the environmental impact assessment report of ESHOT, it was stated that 4,5 million liters of water was used thanks to the system, 256 tons of carbon emissions and 18 tons of solid waste were prevented, and a total of 7,5 million pieces of paper were prevented from being thrown away.

Bey: Time and cost savings

Emphasizing that they planned their business processes in the most efficient way after they started using EBYS, ESHOT General Manager Erhan noted that they achieved significant time and cost savings. “Thanks to this system, business processes carried out with documents have become automated. Decision-making processes accelerated. Process queues and completion times have been shortened, personnel errors have been eliminated. Internal communication has become much more effective. Our contribution to the environment and the cost advantage we achieved by minimizing paper consumption were other important advantages.”

Other contributions to the environment

ESHOT General Directorate, which sets an example by creating Turkey's first electric bus fleet, shows maximum sensitivity to environmental health with its solar power plant (GES) and solar powered stops investments. Thanks to the 10 thousand square meter SPP implemented on the roofs of ESHOT Gediz Garage and Atelier facilities, approximately 5 million TL has been saved so far. All 20 electric buses are charged with the electricity produced. The increased 32 percent energy is used for workshop needs.

The amount of fuel saved thanks to the use of electric buses has reached 2 million 2022 thousand 2 liters as of June 130, 979. Thanks to both GES and electric buses, the amount of carbon dioxide that has been prevented since April 2017 has exceeded 8 tons. The number of trees required to filter out all this toxic emission in “just one day” is approximately 500.

New investments coming

of ESHOT, Karşıyaka Work continues on the installation of GES on the roofs of Ataşehir and Buca Adatepe garages. With the realization of these investments, 62 percent of the annual electrical energy needed for the entire ESHOT will be provided from the sun. On the other hand, the energy of 65 closed stops throughout the city is still obtained from the sun. Efforts continue to increase this number to 225.
