Emirates SkyCargo, the leader in the global air transport industry, took delivery of a new Boeing 777F last weekend. With this latest delivery, the number of aircraft in the airline's special fleet of 777 model cargo aircraft has increased to 11.

Taking off from Paine Field airport in Seattle, the A6-EFT Boeing 777F landed at Dubai World Central on Saturday morning with a full load of electronics, consumer goods and general cargo after receiving its first load from Hong Kong.

Nabil Sultan, Senior Vice President of SkyCargo, Emirates SkyCargo, said in a statement: “Our newest cargo aircraft will increase the capacity of our fast-paced flights to serve our customers throughout the pandemic and keep global supply chains mobile. We plan to take delivery of a second 777F in June. In 2023, we will launch a program to convert four 777 model passenger aircraft into cargo aircraft, and all converted aircraft will be delivered again by the end of 2024.”

Emirates SkyCargo currently operates scheduled cargo flights to 11 destinations. The airline also offers under-flight capacity to shippers in its fleet of more than 130 wide-body Boeing 200 and Airbus A777 aircraft, which fly to more than 380 destinations on six continents. Last year, Emirates SkyCargo carried 2,1 million tons of cargo.
