SAHA Istanbul; launched an entrepreneurial support program for the development of domestic and national technologies in the defense industry. With 'SAHA Initiative', it is aimed to increase defense industry exports of 3.2 billion dollars annually and to write new global success stories.
The Defense, Aerospace and Space Cluster (SAHA Istanbul), the largest industrial cluster in Turkey and the second largest in Europe, which includes 770 companies and 22 universities, has launched an entrepreneurial support program for the development of domestic and national technologies in the defense industry. With the 'SAHA Entrepreneurship Programme', which was called for in the first term, entrepreneur companies with high-tech projects will be supported in many areas from legal and technical consultancy to training and mentoring.
OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH INVESTORS
With the program organized in order to increase the rate of domesticity in the Turkish defense, aviation and space sector, to provide critical technologies that Turkey does not have yet, and to move it to the upper levels in international competition; Entrepreneurs in the defense industry will prepare for investor talks. Within the scope of the program, it is aimed that the entrepreneurial company participates in organizations and project market events so that it can recognize its competitors globally, understand the competition, take its place in the global market for the product it has developed, and find customers globally.
3.2 BILLION DOLLARS EXPORT VOLUME
The Turkish defense, space and aerospace industry, which has an annual turnover of 11 billion dollars, has become one of the most important foreign exchange sources of the Turkish economy with its export volume of 2021 billion dollars in 3.2. With new technologies, this figure is expected to exceed 2022 billion dollars for 4. Entrepreneurial companies that have reached the 5 & 6 levels of readiness in the defense, aviation and space sectors and whose prototypes have emerged can apply to SAHA Initiative.
