President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan inaugurated Boğaziçi University Kandilli Science, Technology and Research Building. Stating that some of the infrastructures in the deep technology base were established with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Erdoğan said, “For example, one of them is the work that will reduce our country's dependence on fossil fuels, which can be applied in many fields from biofuels to food supplements, from animal feed to fertilizers. We are opening the Science, Technology and Research Building, which was built with the financing provided from the central budget and whose value exceeds 100 million TL with current figures. This place was designed as a technology base to solve the space problem in current and new research projects of the Bosphorus. Two blocks of the center are home to deep technology labs. These laboratories were established with the support of our public institutions. As the Ministry of Industry and Technology, we supported the creation of two important infrastructures at the Life Sciences Center, which carries out its activities here.” he said.

After his speech at the ceremony, President of Boğaziçi University Naci İnci presented a painting to Erdoğan. President Erdoğan cut the opening ribbon of the building with his entourage and lecturers.
