Construction Works of Konya New Industrial Site Continue at Full Speed

The construction works of Konya New Industrial Site, which will be brought to the city by TOKİ, for which the land is allocated by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, continues at full speed. Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that the relocation of Old Industry and Karatay Industry to its new location is one of the biggest industrial transportation projects in Turkey, and said that when the investment is completed, the tradesmen will continue their services in modern workplaces with better opportunities.

Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that, within the scope of Konya Model Municipality, they are carrying out works that will preserve the historical texture of the city, and on the other hand, they have implemented investments that will leave a mark on the history of Konya.

Expressing that the project of relocating the Old Industry and Karatay Industry to its new location, which they carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, is one of the biggest industrial transportation projects in Turkey, Mayor Altay said, “We transferred the 2 million 80 thousand square meters of land owned by our Metropolitan Municipality to TOKİ. We contributed to an important project. Again, in this process, we reached an agreement by meeting with our tradesmen. Manufacturing works continue rapidly in our new Industrial Site. When it is completed, our tradesmen will continue their services in modern workplaces with better opportunities. In addition, we will have eliminated an area in the center of the city that causes visual, noise and environmental pollution.” used the expressions.

Stating that 2 industrial shops and 690 commercial shops were built in four stages in Konya New Industrial Site, Mayor Altay thanked Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum and TOKİ President Ömer Bulut.
