The demolition of the shopping center building, which is in the area of ​​the Historical Bazaar and Hanlar Region Çarşıbaşı Urban Design Project, which will mark the future of the city of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, continues rapidly. While the building was being lowered to the ground floor, the historical square began to come to light.

The project, which will restore the Historical Bazaar and Inns District, which started to form in the 14th century in Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire, and completed its process in the 16th century with the development of inns, covered bazaars and bazaars, is now nearing its end. Within the scope of the project of the Metropolitan Municipality, which was also supported by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the demolition of 48 buildings in 37 parcels was completed. The process initiated for the demolition of the shopping center building in the project area continues rapidly. Since the basement floors of the building will be used, the demolition continued in a controlled manner, while the building was lowered to the ground floor. After the demolition of the ground floor, the application project will be started in the exposed area.

Underlining that the project is not a profit but a historical respect project, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said, “There is a dream of unearthing this treasure in Bursa. As the buildings were demolished and the minarets of the Great Mosque appeared, I received very positive feedback. I got it thanks. When the project is completed, we will see a much more inviting inn district. A wonderful square will emerge with its parking lot, the parking area of ​​tourist buses and the area where people can easily walk around. We hope to complete all these works by the end of next year.
