Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy met with the children at the introductory meeting of the project “Let There Be No Children Who Don't Go to the Cinema” held at the Atlas 1948 Cinema.
The project, carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education, the Union of Municipalities of Turkey and the Cinema Hall Investors Association, will bring cinema to one million students who are at the age of basic education and have not gone to the cinema before.
Making a statement to the members of the press, Minister Ersoy stated that the project, which started before the Kovid-19 epidemic by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, was suspended during the epidemic process, and said that the goal of the project is to bring cinema culture to young children.
Stating that they aim to bring 1 million children together with cinema every year, Ersoy said, “You know, the second Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival is being held this year. This was a good occasion to start the project again. We wanted to make this start in Atlas 1948 Cinema. Our event will continue throughout the year mainly in Anatolia.” said.

Mehmet Nuri Ersoy pointed out that the Beyoğlu and Başkent Cultural Road Festivals continued with full-fledged programs, noting that there was a satisfactory level of participation in the programs.
Underlining that the activities in the Culture Road festivals are increasing in number every day, Ersoy said:
“(Relating to the festival) Reactions and feedback are both very positive. In this respect, we want to continue by expanding these activities throughout the country. We have made a start and we want to spread this beginning to our different cities. Our private cultural institutions and institutions are already continuing. Every year there is more participation and as the participation increases, the share of the Ministry decreases. This is what we really want. Let this event be embraced by culture and art institutions, and this route should not be limited to the festival only, but continue throughout the year. For now, we support it with festivals twice a year. This year, I traveled the route for a long time in Beyoğlu and Başkent. A cultural economy started to form on this route, which caught my attention in Beyoğlu, and they started to move here. It has been adopted by the public and also by our artists who produce culture and art. The direction we aim for continues to evolve.”

Ahmet Misbah Demircan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that the Beyoğlu Cultural Road Festival started very well and continues with great interest and said, “Both the participants and those who did not attend are happy. Because everyone needs this positive energy in some way. With the arrival of summer, everyone has the right to live and feel the city. When we look at it in this context, we see that people's interest is very positive and positive.” used the expressions.
Demircan pointed out that open stages were set up in AKM, Şişhane, Galata Tower and Galataport within the scope of the festival, and stated that these events, which surrounded people from all walks of life, attracted great attention.
Screenings will accelerate with the new education period
The little art lovers who participated in the opening of the project “Let There Be No Children Who Don't Go to the Cinema” watched the movie “Rafadan Crew: The Adventure of the Hallway” at Atlas 1948 Cinema.
The project, which was implemented in 2017 to contribute to the cultural, artistic, emotional and social development of children, to give them a cinema culture at a young age, to help students develop their imagination, and to raise awareness in terms of national and cultural values.
The project offers students the opportunity to watch movies for free in movie theaters in their provinces.
