The 25th Fashion Prime İzmir-“Textile, Ready-to-Wear Suppliers and Technologies Fair” and the 16nd Fashion Tech İzmir-“Ready-to-Wear, Apparel and Textile Machinery, Textiles Fair” will be held simultaneously with the “Wedding, Suit and Evening Dress Fair” on 12-15 October. President Tunç Soyer, stating that the fairs are vital for İzmir, said, “There are three main reasons; First, the fair itself stimulates the city's economy. Secondly, sector representatives meet with each other at fairs and get inspired, learn, see, hear and listen. Third, the fair offers extraordinary opportunities in terms of marketing. If the fair is international and brings together representatives from other countries of the world, it allows new brands to be born.”
Emphasizing that 100 years ago, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk opened the National Sample Exhibition after holding the Izmir Economy Congress, Mayor Soyer said, “After that, Izmir started to become a city of Fairs. Our founding leader saw 100 years ago that since İzmir is a port city, it should host fairs. Our job is to raise the bar. We are hosting 2019 fairs this year in İzmir, where 10-11 fairs were held annually until 34. Rest assured, we are ready to achieve extraordinary achievements.
