Izmir Metropolitan Municipality İZDENİZ General Directorate will increase the frequency of car ferries on Saturdays and Sundays as of 11 June in order to meet the increasing demand in the summer months.
Increasing the share of sea transportation in public transportation, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality made summer arrangements for the car ferries under the General Directorate of İZDENİZ. With the effect of increasing fuel price hikes, the frequency of the ferryboats, which are heavily used by the people of İzmir for the transportation of the gulf, will decrease from 20.00 minutes to 23.00 minutes between 30 and 15 on Saturdays and Sundays. The number of flights, which is currently 52, will increase to 58.
