The chronology and details of the relevant process are described below.
1. THE SOURCE OF THE CASE
IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu, attended the Council of Europe Local and Regional Authorities Congress held in Strasbourg, France on October 30, 2019, as the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor.
In his speech at this congress, İmamoğlu said; He stated that the public resources were used unlimitedly in favor of the government during the election process, the language that divided and polarized the society was used during the election, the actions and practices of the President and cabinet members that did not take into account the election bans, and that Anadolu Agency, the state's news agency, wanted to manipulate the election results.
And he made political criticisms, emphasizing that he wanted to win the March 31 election, which the government could not win by manipulation, by canceling it with the decision of the Supreme Election Board, which is authorized to manage the elections.
2. WHAT EXACTLY DID IMAMOĞLU SAY IN STRASBOURG?
When the whole statement is evaluated, it is clear that the statements in question are purely political criticism and have nothing to do with the members of the judiciary.

HOW DID MINISTER SOYLU INVOLVE AND COMMIT A CRIME?

4. İMAMOĞLU'S ANSWER TO SOYLU

5. SOYLU'S ROLE IN THE ISTANBUL ELECTIONS AND THE CANCELLATION DECISION
It will be remembered that Minister Soylu worked hard both in the process of the 31 March Istanbul elections and in the process of canceling the elections on 6 May 2019 and making the re-election decision. He took and implemented political decisions regarding the prosecution of ballot box officials in Büyükçekmece district. He made dozens of untrue statements to the public.

Based on the criminal complaint made by the Supreme Election Board with a warrant dated 15/11/2019 on all these events, the President of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality with the Investigation number 2020/53491, the base number 2021/28722 and the Indictment number 2021/22456 prepared by the TR Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Special Investigation Bureau. 8. CASE IS POLITICAL, NOT LEGAL. THE PURPOSE IS TO DESTROY İMAMOĞLU FROM POLITICAL RIGHTS
