Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to expand bread sales kiosks in the surrounding districts as well as in the city center. A total of 8 People's Bread Buffets, 18 of which will be put into service for the first time, in Akyurt, Elmadağ, Gölbaşı, Mamak, Polatlı and Sincan districts, found their new owners with the drawing of lots held at the People's Bread Factory. The number of Public Bread Sales Buffets serving throughout Ankara increased to 422 with the latest drawing.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is increasing the number of bread sales kiosks in the surrounding districts as well as in the city center.
A total of 8 People's Bread Buffets, 18 of which will be put into service for the first time, in Akyurt, Elmadağ, Gölbaşı, Mamak, Polatlı and Sincan districts, found their new owners with the drawing of lots held at the General Directorate of Public Bread and Flour Factory Meeting Hall.
RECORD APPLICATION TO THE DRAWING
In line with the transparent management approach, 292 people applied for the lottery for the People's Bread Sales Buffet, which was broadcast live on ABB TV and social media accounts.
With the drawing of lots, which was held in the presence of a notary public and which attracted great interest from the capital, 18 citizens were entitled to operate the bread boat. With the last buffet draw, the number of People's Bread Sales Buffets throughout the city increased to 422, and the owners of the buffet started to sign their contracts.
BREAD BOAT BUFFETS
Underlining that they have been producing quality, reliable and hygienic bread and bakery products for the people of Ankara for 41 years, and that they have increased the number of bread sales kiosks and their own sales points day by day in order to expand their service network, Ankara Public Bread Factory Deputy General Manager Ümit Sevdi said:
“With the slogan of trust, quality and taste, we are striving to provide the best service to the people of Ankara at the most affordable prices by producing more than 76 types of bread and bakery products. In our industrial ovens, we produce approximately 1 million pieces of bread per day without human touch. While 200 grams of bread is sold for 3 TL in bakeries, we offer 250 grams of bread to consumers for 2 TL. Our bread, which is 50 grams more and 1 TL cheaper than the market, makes a serious contribution to family budgets.”
THANKS TO ABB FROM NEW BUFFET OWNERS
Having received their new buffet in the lottery draw, the residents of Başkent experienced emotional moments and thanked ABB with the following words:
Zekeriya Eroglu: “I am retired, my name appeared in the People's Bread Buffet lottery, I was very happy. I would like to thank Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş and Halk Bread Factory for giving us this opportunity.”
Ozgen Azizoglu: “I am very happy to have won the People's Bread Buffet lottery, it was a transparent lottery. Together with our president, we will serve the people.”
Esmanur Kaya: “I am very happy to have won the buffet lottery. I would like to thank our President Mansur Yavaş for holding a fair lottery in the presence of a notary public.''

Right holders will start selling to Ankara residents in their kiosks after the contract period with Halk Bread Factory expires.
