The Ministry of Health announced that it will stop air ambulance services in Afyonkarahisar, Sivas, Çanakkale, Malatya and Bursa due to the costs arising from the exchange rate difference.
According to the information received, Deputy Ulaş Karasu pointed out that with the cancellation of this service, patients will have great problems in reaching the hospital in winter conditions.
Explaining that the Ministry of Health will not provide air ambulance services in 5 provinces as of October 2022 as a result of the increase in the costs arising from the exchange rate difference, Deputy Karasu claimed that the air ambulance centers in these provinces were left to their fate and their personnel were left on unpaid leave.
