Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to implement rail system projects in the Baskent. EGO General Directorate held the first sessions of the tenders for the extension of Çayyolu and Keçiören Metro and the 'M5 Line Kızılay-Dikmen Rail System Line Implementation Final Project Services Work'. Taking action due to the increasing population density and the number of vehicles, EGO General Directorate entered the pre-qualification tender for the "Consultancy Service Procurement of the M2 Line's Koru-Yaşamkent and Koru-Bağlıca System Extension Line Based Final Project Services" within the scope of the Çayyolu Metro extension project.

The first step was taken for the project, which aims to extend the M2015 Kızılay-Çayyolu line, which is included in the Ankara Urban Transportation Master Plan (with the target for 2014) and put into operation in 2, to Yaşamkent and Bağlıca, located on the western axis of the city.

Thanks to the project, which will include Yaşamkent, which has developed in recent years and has a dense population, in the rail system line, both bus transfers and vehicle traffic will decrease, and passengers will be provided with more comfortable transportation and time savings.

PRE-QUALIFICATION TENDER IS LIVE

Three separate tenders were broadcast live on ABB TV and Metropolitan Municipality social media accounts on 8,9 and 10 June 2022.

After the evaluation of the files, EGO General Directorate will send an invitation letter to a maximum of 6 companies and request their technical and financial files in the second session of the tender. With the implementation of the project, the line will be divided into two after the existing Koru Station and the common station that will serve the Koru-Yaşamkent and Koru-Bağlıca fishbone lines. The Koru-Bağlıca line will also serve the university and Bağlıca region on the route and will form the first stage of the M2-M3 connection.

LINE LENGTH WILL BE 7,72 KM

Upon the decision of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Council dated 11.03.2022 and numbered 203, the total length of the existing Çayyolu line after Koru Station will be 7,72 kilometers.

Within the scope of the Final Project Services for the Koru-Yaşamkent, Koru-Bağlıca Rail System Extension Lines of the M5 Line consisting of 2 stations; After the feasibility and survey studies, the Koru-Yaşamkent and Koru-Bağlıca Rail System Extension Lines will be carried out as the continuation of the existing (M2) rail system line.

2 MORE METRO PROJECTS FROM ABB

After the tender for the extension of the Çayyolu Metro, EGO General Directorate went out to tender for two more rail system projects.

Ten companies submitted bids to the tender for the "Technical Specifications for the Final Project Services of the Martyrs-Forum Rail System Extension Line of the M4 Line," the first session of which was held within the scope of the extension of the Keçiören Metro.

Within the scope of the project, the Martyrs-Forum line, which is included in the 'Transportation Master Plan' projections (Gazino-Forum), was planned to be extended to the Forum area, where the warehouse area will be located, starting from the Martyrs, the last station of the Keçiören line operated in the north of the city. The line, which will serve the Sanatorium Hospital, Ufuktepe and Ovacık regions on this axis, will facilitate uninterrupted transportation on the North-South axis as a whole, with the project of extending the existing M4 line to Dikmen in the south. The project will consist of 4 stations and 5,5 kilometers.

EGO General Directorate went out to tender for another rail system project in order to strengthen the rail system network and encourage the use of public transportation vehicles in Başkent. 5 companies submitted bids to the tender, which was held for the first time within the scope of "Final Project Services for M9 Line Kızılay-Dikmen Rail System Line Implementation". The new project, which covers the part of the existing Keçiören Line that extends to Dikmen in the south, will consist of 13 kilometers and 10 stations.
