The Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Interior signed a Cooperation Protocol for Increasing Protective and Preventive Services and Measures Regarding the Safety of Children's Educational Processes.
Before the signing ceremony held at the Ankara Police Museum, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer, Minister of Family and Social Services Derya Yanık, Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, President of the Union of Municipalities of Turkey Fatma Şahin visited the museum with their delegation.
Speaking at the ceremony held due to the protocol signed by Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer, Minister of Family and Social Services Derya Yanık, Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and President of the Union of Municipalities of Turkey Fatma Şahin, Minister Özer said that it is possible to complete the 2021-2022 academic year with face-to-face education without interrupting even one day. expressed their happiness. Özer thanked the Ministry of Internal Affairs, all local administrative chiefs and security forces for supporting the 20 million education family with their teachers and students to successfully complete this process.
Minister Mahmut Özer stated that the most permanent and sustainable capital of a country is human capital and underlined that the most important instrument used in making this capital qualified is education. Noting that education is a matter of national security for a country, Özer said:
“Under the leadership of our President, a huge investment has been made to make maximum use of this human capital from education. Comprehensive mobilizations were carried out in all our provinces and districts in every field from pre-school to secondary education, from secondary education to higher education. Together, we witnessed an investment that we had not witnessed in the history of the Republic, and we saw the results of this in a short time. We saw it in our schooling rates. In pre-school education, the rate of schooling at the age of 2000 was 5 percent in the 11s. Today it is 92 percent. Similarly, in secondary education, in higher education and in all fields, the children of this country have had all kinds of opportunities to access quality education where they are.”
Stating that the policies put into effect by the Ministry of Family and Social Services played a major role while all these were being implemented, Özer stated that the socio-economically disadvantaged segment and girls benefited most from the massification process in education.

“From now on, as the Ministry, we will make great efforts to raise our children, in cooperation with other ministries, not only to compete with their peers, but also as young people who are fully human, at peace with their state and nation, who have internalized the values of their geography, are happy to serve others, and have the potential to say something different to the world. This is the cornerstone of our current cooperation. We are trying to raise our children in a school climate where the morality of futuwwa arises. We do not have a single young person to sacrifice for any addiction, from substance abuse to internet addiction. We do not have a single young person to lose to terrorist organizations. We will fulfill our responsibilities in the construction of our future by cooperating, valuing our young people and having trouble with them, I hope by creating a much better school climate.”
Stating that they will enable 20 million young people to receive education in much safer environments than before, and that they will never leave them alone, Özer thanked everyone who contributed to the process.

Stating that they will make school matches with the mobile teams established by the provincial directorates within the scope of the protocol, the Minister of Family and Social Services Derya Yanık said, “Our mobile teams will carry out special studies regarding the children reported by the school guidance units. We will deliver fast and appropriate solutions to all our children in our 81 provinces. We will carry out professional studies in order to ensure that disadvantaged children continue to school. If necessary, we will direct children and their families to appropriate social service models.”

Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu stated that there are four topics in the protocol in question: crime, violence and abuse, fight against addiction, safe education communication and education and security problems of foreign national children at school age.
