Azize Bekar from Duru Bulgur Performance Club won the first place in the two categories in which she competed in the Turkish Cycling Road Championship, which was organized with the support of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality. Single managed to pass the finish in the first place in the Individual time trial bike track and road races.
Duru Bulgur Performance Sports Club, which has achieved remarkable success in all branches it competes in since its establishment in 2003, by instilling sports and sports discipline especially in girls, added a new one to its successes. At the Turkish Cycling Road Championship held in Gaziantep, 247 athletes shared their trump cards in 16 different categories. Azize Bekar from Duru Bulgur Performance Club, who participated in the races, achieved a great success by coming first in both categories.
The first race was held on June 24 in the "Elite Women" category. Azize Bekar completed the track in the shortest time in the race where the athletes started with one minute intervals. The second track was held on 25 June. Participating in road races, Bekar managed to beat the finish first by pedaling much faster than his rivals.
At the end of the championship, which witnessed fierce struggles, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin, Turkish Cycling Federation President Emin Müftüoğlu and GBB Youth Services and Sports Department Head Zekeriya Efiloğlu presented their trophies and medals to the winning competitors and teams.
Bringing together 1152 licensed athletes under the same roof, Duru Bulgur Performance Sports Club achieves great success especially in the bicycle category.
