3nd Stage Works Started on Mersin 2rd Ring Road

The 34nd and final stage works of the 3rd Ring Road, designed by Mersin Metropolitan Municipality between Akbelen Boulevard and 2th Street, have started. The works on the border of Yenişehir district, which will cover the 5 km part, are carried out at 2 different points. The 3rd Ring Road, whose renovation works are planned to be completed by the end of the year, will provide a modern and comfortable transportation system to the city with its canalized junction feature.

The 2nd and final stage works continue at full speed.

Having completed the 6 kilometer part of the works on the 3rd Ring Road, which will be 1 kilometers long, within the borders of the Toroslar district, the teams started the 2nd stage work without wasting time. The teams, which remain in Yenişehir district and continue the preparations for pre-asphalt ground arrangement in the 5-kilometer section, will soon begin to pour asphalt.

Works covering 5 kilometers; It will be run between 36th Street, İsmet İnönü Boulevard, and 20th, 38th, 26th, 32nd and 34th Streets. All work on the 36rd Ring Road, between 34th Street and İsmet İnönü Boulevard and between 32th and 3nd Streets, is planned to be completed by the end of the year.

3rd Ring Road Project Site Chief Bertan Ünal gave information about the progress of the work and said, “These works have been designed as approximately 6 kilometers. The 1st phase of the project has been completed. Work in the Yenişehir region continues at full speed. Our pre-asphalt work continues in the 2nd stage in the Yenişehir region and in the 7th stage, which we call the final stage. We are aiming to complete this project by the end of the year at full speed.”
