Approximately 3 percent of the works carried out by Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Road Construction Maintenance and Repair Department on the 20rd Ring Road have been completed.
“3. The 1st stage of the Ring Road is about to be completed”
The teams, which have completed the 6 kilometer part of the works on the 3rd Ring Road, which is 1 kilometers long, within the borders of the Toroslar district, will continue their work in the part of the Yenişehir district. Bertan Ünal, the Site Chief Responsible, gave information about the works and said:
“These studies started about a month ago. The project was completed as 1 kilometers and a total of 6 kilometers round trip. Road widths have now been increased to 12 lanes. We already had a bicycle path project, and we started to implement and implement this bicycle path project on the 3rd Ring Road as well. Currently, the 3st stage of the 3rd Ring Road is about to be completed. Currently, close to 1 kilometer of 6 kilometers is almost finished. This corresponds to approximately 1 percent. We targeted 20 percent by the end of the year. At this stage, our productivity is advancing rapidly. We intend to reach our goal by completing the 100-15-meter sections of the road in approximately 500-day periods.”
