Acting with its industry-leading technologies and human-oriented working approach, Ayedaş has implemented an infrastructure investment for the Adalar district, one of the symbols of Istanbul, within the scope of its goal of uninterrupted and high quality electricity distribution.

Carrying out electricity distribution with digitalization-oriented projects and investments, Istanbul Anatolian Side EDAŞ (Ayedaş) completed its submarine investments in the first half of 2021, which it started to work on in 2022 for the Adalar district, one of the symbols of Istanbul.

Ayedaş has planned new investments to strengthen the lines in order to meet the energy consumption, which reaches up to five times, in the Adalar district, which is visited by domestic and foreign tourists during the summer season and has an intense domestic tourism movement especially on weekends. In this context, Ayedaş, which continues its investment studies in order to provide sustainable and uninterrupted energy, made an energy investment of 100 million TL.

A total of 13 km of cable was laid under the sea.

Within the scope of the investment consisting of three phases; It has installed a total of 7 kilometers of medium voltage sea cable, approximately 4,5 kilometers between Dragos and Burgazada, approximately 1,5 kilometers between Dragos and Heybeliada, and approximately 13 kilometers between Büyükada and Heybeliada.

State-of-the-art cables used

The cables installed within the scope of the investment made by Ayedaş were produced according to the latest technology methods and in accordance with the submarine conditions for many years in order to ensure the continuity of supply and increase the service quality. It was aimed to minimize the risks regarding the continuity of electricity supply in the Adalar district, thanks to the cables that were installed and put into service as one piece.

Ayedaş, which previously made investments in the Adalar District between 2014 and 2020 in order to increase capacity and ensure supply continuity, has approximately 32 kilometers of medium voltage marine cable, approximately 7 kilometers of medium voltage land cable for its connections, one Distribution Center and one It had installed a power transformer and offered it to its users.
