The logistics sector, which is the locomotive of international trade and the world economy, has a critical importance for countries. In the industry, which has a size of approximately 10 trillion dollars in the world, many international companies, especially in Europe, carry their investments to Turkey, which stands out with its geographical location and logistics opportunities. Stating its targets for the new key role that Turkey will assume in world trade, Doğruer Logistics stated that they aim for a logistics storage area of 50 thousand square meters in total at the USA, China and Istanbul Airports.

In line with the 2023 targets announced by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure in order to increase the competitiveness of the Turkish logistics sector, the export target has been determined as 228 billion dollars and for 2053 as 1 trillion dollars. In this context, Turkey, whose sector size has reached 500-600 billion TL, attracts great interest from Europe and the Far East.

POLICIES FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS MUST BE MADE

Doğruer said, “Although it is said that some international companies have canceled their investments in our country, many companies from abroad are investing in our country day by day. We regret to follow that the exemptions and incentives that should be used in these investments cannot be fully utilized. In particular, the interest of the Far East Countries continues to increase recently. In order to accelerate the investment tendency in our country, I believe that policies should be developed to ensure that foreign investors access the right information more easily. In this context, we, as a company, have established a foreign investors department to support these activities. The relevant department will guide existing or potential investors on the necessary practices.”

OUR GOAL IS TO ESTABLISH LOGISTICS STORAGE IN AMERICA

Uğuray Doğruer, Member of the Board of Directors of Doğruer Logistics, pointed out that new opportunities are starting to appear in the logistics sector, and said, “Recently, our economy programs focused on manufacturing and exports, our Logistics Master Plans, industry moves and incentive practices are among the important steps for the sector. Considering the geographical and political position of our country, we are among the important countries in the world. At this point, there is an important demand for our country. In line with this key role determined by our country, we have added new ones to our 2025 targets. In this sense, we aim to be the first customs consultancy firm to establish a logistics warehouse at Istanbul Airport in addition to Ankara Airport. In addition, we also have a goal of establishing logistics in the USA and an office in China in our medium-term 2025 target.”
