Underlining that they are a city that has succeeded in transforming its local values into universal values, Mayor Aktaş said, “One of our values that keeps our city's traditional culture and art enthusiasm alive is our International Bursa Festival. Bursa Festival, which has been held since 1962, continues to grow with each passing day. It was an unforgettable organization. It has been such years that it made a lot of noise in Bursa. Although we sometimes think that it becomes routine, I wholeheartedly believe that the Bursa Festival and the Golden Karagöz Folk Dance Competition add significant value to the city. This year, we are celebrating the 60th anniversary of your festival. Last year, we could not hold the Golden Karagöz Folk Dance Competition. We held the festival on a limited basis within the framework of the pandemic rules. There was a serious longing for this issue in the city as well. Hopefully, this year, our new artists will meet with Bursa Festival fans.”
